About the role..
Exciting opportunity for a talented Operations Manager to join our dynamic Disability Services Team and lead Royal Rehab’s Accommodation Services.
Disability Services provides supported accommodation for people with a disability in local communities across Sydney. You will work proactively and collaboratively with support workers to provide in-home support to individuals in their own home and Shared In-Home Supported Living, where people share a house staffed by residential support workers.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivery of and maintaining service and quality standards
Resource planning for Disability Support services
Financial and budget management
Service quoting based on assessed customer need and determined service delivery (roster of care i.e. NDIS SIL)
Business development - preparing and implementing business plans
Service safety and risk management
Staff training, development, supervision and performance management
Management of service Behaviour Support and Restrictive practice processes, determining need for specialist services
Project work
Managing and participating in the on-call roster to ensure on call support for supported accommodation services
About you..

Essential Criteria:
Extensive knowledge or experience in the provision of support services to people with a disability
Demonstrated experience at a senior level managing services for highly vulnerable customers within the human services environment
Demonstrated understanding of Person-Centred Behaviour Support, Restrictive Practices
Knowledge of the relevant legislation impacting on human services delivery, particularly disability services
Understanding and practical application of issues relating to quality service, and a commitment to the continuous improvement of service delivery
Risk management skills to successfully manage all risks associated with customer care and safety, financial and workplace health and safety
Demonstrated skills in managing staff, finances and resources to effectively manage organisational resources
Excellent communication, consultation, negotiation, interpersonal and written skills
Desirable Criteria:
Disability Accommodation experience
Service quoting experience, understanding of NDIS price guide and SIL quoting process
Demonstrated analytical skills including an ability to set and work to budgets, interpret financial and performance data
