About the role
An opportunity exists for a motivated Allied Health Assistant within our LifeWorks service. A significant part of your role will see you providing support to a multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.
You will support customers with disabilities in their homes, community locations and is the perfect position to gain and broaden your experience across a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Community and centre based Therapy clients goal achievement by implementing planned therapy interventions
- Supporting clinicians of varied disciplines with their clients
- Development of clinical resources and client tools
- Supporting clinic operations with client movement, group programs, management of therapy spaces
About you
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual to be a key member of the LifeWorks team providing high quality support to a multi-disciplinary team within a client-focused and goal-centered framework.
Essential Criteria:
- Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Experience working with people with physical, psychosocial and neurological disabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong commitment and professionalism to customer centred care
- Experience building long lasting patient relationships
- Highly motivated and a positive attitude
