About the role.. 

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? As an Allied Health Administrator at Royal Rehab Private Petersham (RRPP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Day Program and LifeWorks Petersham, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

From managing client bookings and admissions to handling data entry, clinical records, reporting, and communication, you’ll be at the heart of our allied health services. You’ll also have the opportunity to work across different units, including our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, gaining valuable experience while being part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide professional reception and administrative support, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate and manage bookings for Day Rehabilitation and LifeWorks programs, providing patients with their schedules.
  • Accurately enter and maintain patient records in ePAS and PracSuite, including admissions, discharges, and health fund details.
  • Process patient financial activities, including invoicing, copayments, reconciliations, and third-party approvals.
  • Maintain and organise medical records and admission paperwork, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
  • Support the hospital revenue and compliance team with billing queries related to Day Rehabilitation.
  • Manage VMO calendars, consultations, and outpatient appointments efficiently.
  • Handle general administrative tasks, including emails, phone messages, mail distribution, and document processing.
  • Maintain stationery and unit supplies, ensuring essential resources are available for staff and patients.

 

About you.. 

We are seeking a self-motivated and friendly individual with:

Essential Criteria:

  • Recent medical reception experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and administrative abilities to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
  • Experience using electronic medical admitting and patient administration systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong skills in managing referrals, appointments, and administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge and experience with health funds, HICAPS, and Medicare processing.
