About the role...
The HR Operations Manager leads the HR Business Partnering and HR administrative team of Royal Rehab. The position also directly partners senior leaders and manages key projects.
The role ensures that the HR function runs effectively and supports strategic business goals while promoting a positive and engaged workplace culture for all employees.
The incumbent will partner senior leaders and provide specialist advice to Hospital and Disability Services Business Units.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day HR operations, supporting a multi-site workforce across NSW, QLD and VIC
- Partner with senior hospital and disability services managers to provide HR advice and operational support
- Oversee onboarding, employment contracts, policy compliance, and HR systems
- Travel to hospital and other service locations as needed to provide hands-on support
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support workforce strategy and business objectives
- Support continuous improvement and standardisation of HR processes
About you...
You’re a proactive and strategic HR leader with a strong background in managing human resources across complex, multi-disciplinary environments (including healthcare). With a deep understanding of industrial relations, workforce planning, and HR compliance, you bring both operational efficiency and a genuine people-first approach. You thrive on building positive workplace culture, supporting frontline leaders to build capability, and driving continuous improvement in HR systems and processes.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior HR role, with a minimum of 5 years in Hospital / Healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation, modern awards (especially SCHADS and Health awards), and best-practice HR policies.
- Proven experience in leading HR teams, ER/IR matters, recruitment, and workforce planning.
- High-level interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work strategically and operationally within a complex organisation.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data reporting.
- Experience managing HR functions in multi-site or multidisciplinary environments.
Desirable:
- Understanding of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements.
- Postgraduate qualifications in HR or related discipline.
