About the role..
The Allied Health Education and Development Lead is responsible for designing and delivering innovative
educational programs aimed at supporting the growth and development of graduate students and early-career
professionals in the allied health field across the Royal Rehab LifeWorks sites that the Centre of Excellence
supports. This role will lead the implementation of structured graduate programs, student placements, and clinical
training, ensuring a seamless transition from academic study to professional practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and manage structured graduate programs for allied health professionals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with universities to secure quality student
placements. - Lead contract negotiations with universities for student placements and education
programs. - Identify and leverage business development opportunities in education and training,
expanding partnerships with universities and stakeholders. - Develop strategies to enhance the organisation’s reputation in allied health
education through marketing and outreach to attract top talent. Contribute to
workforce planning by forecasting future needs and aligning pathways accordingly. - Ensure graduate and student placement programs meet accreditation standards
with strong quality assurance. - Represent the organisation at industry events and forums.

Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Allied Health discipline (e.g., Occupational Therapy,
Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology). - Professional registration with relevant Australian bodies (e.g., AHPRA).
- Commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and maintaining ethical standards.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong knowledge of Allied Health and NDIS regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Expertise in business development, contract negotiation, and strategic planning within NDIS or community services.
- Extensive experience in multidisciplinary Allied Health services and team leadership.
- Proven ability to manage graduate programs, student placements, and university partnerships.
