About the Role... 

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the delivery and development of high-quality allied health services and business operations at Royal Rehab LifeWorks Cairns. This role reports to the Regional Manager and blends strategic planning, business development, team leadership, and operational management to ensure exceptional outcomes for clients and staff. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, focusing on performance, wellbeing, and growth 
  • Lead strategic service expansion and actively contribute to business growth
  • Develop and implement local business plans aligned with strategic goals 
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and contract deliverables 
  • Manage continuous improvement, quality, and accreditation requirements 
  • Manage service budgets and ensure operational and financial targets are met 
  • Foster meaningful connections to enhance visibility and reputation
  • Ensure adequate resources, equipment, and a safe working environment 
  • Represent LifeWorks externally with stakeholders and referrers 

 

About you... 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced healthcare leader to step into this pivotal role, ideal for someone who thrives on driving service excellence, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and leading strategic growth. The perfect candidate will bring a strong clinical background, a commitment to quality care, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

With a proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and deliver on KPIs, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our services. You’ll be motivated by a challenge, inspired by making a difference, and ready to leave your mark on a growing, values-driven organisation. 

Essential criteria: 

  • AHPRA registration or professional membership in your allied health discipline (e.g., Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, OT) 
  • 5+ years’ experience in clinical and/or leadership roles 
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams 
  • Strong understanding of the third-party compensable schemes, Medicare, private health funds, NDIS and allied health services 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills 
  • Business acumen and experience in service development or private practice models 
  • Understanding of budget development and financial accountability 
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and high-performing team culture 

 

Desirable criteria: 

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Health Management, Leadership, or related field 
  • Accreditation experience, including audit participation 
  • Familiarity with clinical and business reporting tools and platforms 
  • Knowledge of OH&S and risk management practices within a clinical setting
