About the opportunity

As an Engagement Officer, you will be the first point of contact for new and potential customers wishing to access Breakthru services. You will provide advice regarding service options and work closely with customers and their families to understand their requirements, expectations, and aspirations. The key focus of this role is to secure customer engagement and lead the development of service agreements to ensure a streamlined onboarding process.

This includes:

  • Monitoring new enquiries via phone, email and online systems/applications
  • Actively responding to new customer enquiries
  • Processing of relevant referrals and NDIS Request for Service
  • Liaise with operational teams regarding service capacity and availability
  • Ensure an understanding of all Breakthru and legislative policies and procedures
  • Participate in promotional campaigns to increase customer acquisition
  • Meet customer acquisition targets
  • Actively promote Breakthru’s service offerings
  • Demonstrating thorough and timely recording of customer interactions
  • Any other duties as directed by your Leader or the Leadership team

 

About you

You are passionate, driven to succeed and thrive on customer service, building relationships both internally and externally. Your ability to manage multiple priorities while continuing to provide strong customer service will be the key to your success in this role. With highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships, your commitment to customers and their families will support the continued customer acquisition and growth of the business.

You will also be able to clearly articulate and demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of NDIS & funding flexibility
  • Sales background & commitment to excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of relevant local service providers (desirable)
  • Ability to advocate on behalf of our customers
  • Proactive approach to achieving targets
  • Strong administrative requirements & process driven role
  • Drivers license (essential)
  • Working with Children check (essential or willing to obtain)
  • Criminal record check (essential or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Workers Screen Clearance (essential or willing to obtain)
  • Willingness to travel and use of own vehicle (km will be reimbursed)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or provide a medical exemption evidenced by an authorised medical practitioner
