About the role..
Join our Graduate Program at Royal Rehab LifeWorks for a unique therapy career kickstart. Stand out with our individualised program, limited to just 15 graduates nationally, offering onsite supervision and work shadowing.
Embrace a newly created Cairns-based graduate role in our BRAND-NEW Centre, focusing on high-quality, person-centered physiotherapy services.
The Graduate Program, starting January 2024, is now open for applications with immediate interviews.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with a range of stakeholders within a therapeutic support framework in to ensure clients with complex allied health support requirements are provided the support and skills they need manage to achieve their goals and improve their community participation.
- Ensuring clients receive tailored physiotherapy services that are individualised, person-centred & strength based.
- Applying a client centric model to develop, implement and review therapy needs and develop intervention plans and strategies with clients, family, carers, and their service providers.
- Developing own clinical skills in areas of identified service/ professional needs and actively participating in personal development.
- Conducting and completing relevant therapeutic reports, functional and therapy assessment and information gathering.
Also, consider a part-time Allied Health Assistant position for early experience and earning while studying.

Essential Criteria:
- Registered Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
- Tertiary level qualifications in Physiotherapy
- Strong verbal communication skills including problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong commitment and professionalism to customer centred care
- Highly motivated and a positive attitude
- Passionate about Physiotherapy and making a positive difference.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with people with a disability who may have a range of complex and challenging support needs
- Demonstrated ability to develop plans, practices, and procedures.
