About the role…
Are you passionate about driving excellence in claims management and ensuring top-tier compliance? As our National Claims Consultant – Home & Living, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the quality, integrity, and efficiency of our claims processes.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for NDIS claiming, conducting financial audits, perform quality checks, and identify risks and opportunities to enhance compliance with contractual obligations. Your expertise will help drive performance by developing proactive audit strategies, implementing business improvement initiatives, and delivering impactful training programs.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure adherence to service standards, reporting requirements, and risk management frameworks. If you’re a detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for process improvement and compliance, we’d love to hear from you!
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyse data to identify potential risks to contract compliance and funding.
- Conduct quality checks on all claims, ensuring compliance and identifying missed opportunities.
- Review Home & Living outcome claims to ensure accurate reporting of supports delivered.
- Ensure compliance with Service Standards, reporting, and administrative obligations.
- Develop a proactive audit schedule with the National Claims Manager to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with teams to implement strategies that improve performance and mitigate risk.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports based on evidential findings and data analysis.
- Support the delivery of training programs to staff.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all information gained in undertaking the role in line with Breakthru Privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines.
About you…
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
Essential Criteria
- Strong knowledge of NDIS home and living services, compliance, and quality frameworks.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed KPIs while managing high workloads and tight deadlines.
- Expertise in identifying and implementing compliance strategies to support site staff.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain productive networks with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of disability, health conditions, injury types, and support strategies.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a roadworthy, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Sound working knowledge of technology including computer & data entry skills (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, databases such as Dynamics, etc).
