About the role..

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to provide evidence based clinical Occupational Therapy interventions in our Brain Injury Unit. You will be working within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team developing big picture client focused goals and promoting client goal attainment.

The BIU, Royal Rehab is a state-wide specialised rehabilitation service representing the inpatient part of the BIRS service. If you strive for excellence in all you do and would like to work as part of an experienced inpatient multidisciplinary team, apply today!

Key responsibilities include:

  • To provide high quality, evidenced based, timely Occupational Therapy services to clients to maximise function and performance in activities of daily living that are meaningful to the clients.
  • Clinical supervision will be provided by the Senior Occupational Therapist, overseen by the Occupational Therapy Professional Leader.
  • Opportunities for participating in the discipline’s in-service and EBP program will be available.

 

About you..

We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with: 

  • Current, Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in working within a Neurological Rehabilitation framework.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • C Class drivers license.
  • Sound time management, handover and self organisation skills.
