About the role..

The Brain Injury Unit, Royal Rehab is a state-wide specialised rehabilitation service representing the inpatient part of the BIRS service. We seek a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team to provide specialised rehabilitation programs for individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Key responsibilities include:

  • The Occupational Therapy Assistant will support the Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary team in the delivery of person-centred interventions, activities and programs to clients undergoing physical and cognitive rehabilitation, on an individual basis or within a group situation.

 

About you..

We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with: 

  • Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant or equivalent health qualification.
  • Experience in working with clients with a brain injury.
  • Current C Class (unrestricted) driver’s license.
  • Understanding of Occupational Therapy.
  • Sound time management, team-work, flexibility, and self-organisation skills.
