In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of providing care and support to patients as they embark on their rehabilitation journey. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact, all while working in a vibrant healthcare environment that offers ongoing educational support to help you grow and thrive.
As a key member of our nursing team, you'll collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care in a nurturing and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing patient care within the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Promoting the development of therapeutic relationships with the aim of facilitating the patient's rehabilitation goals.
- Supporting the objectives and philosophy of the hospital.
- Contributing to the person's rehabilitation goals in accordance with Royal Rehab Private Petersham Hospital's vision, purpose and values.
- Supervising the activities of the Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing with their nursing care.
About you..
We are seeking a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Previous Rehabilitation /surgical/ medical experience.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to participate within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with managing challenging behaviours desirable.
