About the role..
Are you an experienced and highly motivated Physiotherapist with full AHPRA registration, looking to make a real impact in spinal cord injury care? This is an exciting opportunity to join the NSW Spinal Outreach Service (SOS); a state-wide program that includes the Rural Spinal Cord Injury Service.
In this rewarding role, you’ll work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team to provide expert assessment, education, consultancy, and support to people with a spinal cord injury, as well as their families, carers, and care providers across NSW. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing holistic case management to support clients with complex disabilities related to spinal cord injury (SCI).
- Managing multiple competing caseload demands.
- Participating in development and delivery of clinician education.
- Contributing to the service development of the team and organisation, through contributions to working parties and quality projects deemed relevant to this role.
- There may be a requirement to attend a rural clinic during the calendar year (away for 3-4 night block).
About you..
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
Essential Criteria:
- AHPRA Registered Physiotherapist with a minimum of 5 years post registration experience.
- Post-registration experience and/or qualifications relevant to spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, or rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately keep records including written client records and administrative records in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Current C unrestricted drivers’ license or equivalent.
- Competent computer user, specifically with Microsoft products.
- Ability to travel throughout rural NSW (approx. 3 times/year, for 3-4 nights duration on each occasion).
