About the role..

This full-time, permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about community support, enjoys mentoring and developing others, and values collaboration with experienced colleagues and senior leaders.

Based in Wallsend, the role is responsible for leading and supporting a small team that delivers a range of NDIS-funded services, including Employment Supports, Individualised Support, and Group-Based Programs of Support. It plays a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred outcomes and fostering a positive team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and mentor your team to deliver person-centred, high-quality services
  • Support program growth, client engagement, and site tours
  • Coordinate weekly schedules and site visits aligned to participant needs
  • Be the key contact for program-specific activities (e.g. SLES sessions)
  • Deliver billable supports post-onboarding, including 1:1s, group facilitation, and reviews

About you..

You’re a natural leader with a passion for empowering people and making a genuine impact in the community. With a strong understanding of the NDIS, you bring experience in coordinating supports and leading teams in the disability or community services sector.

You're proactive, organised, and thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Your communication skills are excellent, and you’re confident working with a wide range of stakeholders — from participants and families to providers and internal teams.

You will have:

  • Leadership or coordination role experience within the NDIS or community services sector
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, person-centred practices, and service delivery standards
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to coach, support and develop team members
  • Confident in engaging with participants, families, and external providers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems
  • Relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or a related field (advantageous)
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
