We specialise in the provision of high-quality person-centric programs to support thousands of people every year to address mental health, employment, disability, homelessness, and training needs. Breakthru College has been successfully operating as an RTO for over 14 years and is looking for a passionate Trainer and Assessor to support our students to pursue a rewarding career path and deliver quality support services.

 

About the role… 

This position enables Breakthru College to create a positive learning environment by providing students with innovative teaching techniques that maximise engagement and learning, ensuring students are supported to succeed and reach their potential.

  • Deliver and facilitate face to face training in a group setting.
  • Facilitate learning through various instructional methods, including lectures, group discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
  • Conduct training assessments and ensure compliance with the training delivery.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records of learner progress, assessment results, and other relevant documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure effective training and assessment delivery.

 

About you…

You are a passionate and supportive Trainer with exceptional communication skills, adept at nurturing student’s growth and fostering their success.

You will have:

  • Current Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification, or higher. (essential)
  • Disability sector experience (essential)
  • 2 years training experience (essential)
  • Cert IV in Disability or Ageing (desirable)
  • Experience in the delivery of face-to-face workshops and group-based sessions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of NDIS
  • NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
  • Ideally come from a Nursing profession (desirable but not essential)
