Superbeast Lunchtime Author Talk
Celebrate with us on International Day of People with Disability!
Join David Hall OAM PLY as he discusses his newly released autobiography, Superbeast, in an engaging interview with Taylor Aiken, Seven Network Senior News Reporter.
Superbeast gives a truly inspirational, emotional and humorous journey through the life of one of Australia’s greatest sporting champions. In his own words David tells of the night that changed his life forever. That night would see him become a double-leg amputee at the age of 16.
In a ‘can’t-put-down’ book, David takes you on a ‘tell-all’ journey through his life that started as a baby born in Camperdown and adopted. Through his young years as a shy boy who lived his life through every sport available, a young teen newly employed and living the good life to becoming the best wheelchair tennis player in the world and Paralympic Gold medallist at the Sydney 2000 Games.
Superbeast will have readers shedding tears, laughing, shaking their head in disbelief and gaining admiration for a down-to-earth Australian who in his own few words can inspire so many: “Despair can be lonely, but beyond it the sweetest things are the ones you don’t even know of yet, but only if you’re willing to find them.”
Superbeast will be on sale at the author talk which David will autograph or purchase your copy from Amazon. It will make a great Christmas gift or summer holiday read!
This event will be held in the Clive Austin Conference Centre, 2 Susan Schardt Way, Putney NSW.
David Hall had to deal with more than most could cope. Not only did he pick himself up, he went on and dominated the world. Truly inspiring.
