 About the role..

This casual role is based within our Breakthru unit, supporting the Community Supports program across the Taree and Tuncurry region in NSW. We’re seeking team members who are available to work a minimum of 10 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the individuals we support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accessing the community for shopping, appointments and day-to-day activities
  • Participation in a range of scheduled activities such as cooking, art, outdoor physical activities and excursions
  • Engagement in social events
  • Transportation assistance where required
  • Meal preparation and other simple in-home supports

Your role will go beyond daily care – you will be instrumental in promoting independence, dignity, and choice, while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong commitment to person-centred support and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport (essential)
